The landscape architect is not only responsible for creating gardens, but also increasingly assumes a central role in society, since acquiring the several skills to realize it and be directly involved in the planning of urban and rural landscape.
The ability's of the Landscape Architect are:

To recognize the specific needs and the approach of each space by their type whether the space has urban or rural characteristics;

To consider of equity values of the landscape, staying informed and updated with regard to the appearance of new legislation, technology and construction materials.

Attempts to intervene towards qualification gradual spaces, restoring them to the public esteem, through interventions that address the needs and expectations of the population.
O arquitecto paisagista não é apenas responsável pela criação de jardins, antes pelo contrário. Cada vez mais assume um papel fulcral na sociedade, já que adquirio diversas capacidades que lhe permitem realizar e intervir directamente no processo de planeamento da paisagem urbana e rural.
São competências subjacentes à intervenção do Arquitecto Paisagista:
